Part & Full-Time Produce Associate

Job Summary: The Produce Associate will perform routine tasks to unload, stock, sanitize, cut, and prepare produce products in a way that is upholding the highest food safety standards to ensure quality product for our end customersShift Availability:Preference for weekend and evening availabilitySupervisory Responsibilities:None.Duties/Responsibilities:Prepares fresh produce by washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning.Arranges product in designated area for retrieval by order pickersPrevents the spoilage of ingredients through proper storage in designated containers and in designated areas.Monitors the temperature of food and food storage areas.Maintains and cleans workspaces to prevent cross-contamination and uphold high quality standardsEnsures packaging areas are adequately stocked.Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.Assists with unloading, stocking, quality inspection, and safe storage of raw ingredients and supplies.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Basic understanding of or the ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.Basic understanding of or the ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Ability to work quickly and efficiently.Ability to work well as part of a team.Ability to maintain personal hygiene.Ability to follow safety rules and guidelines throughout the kitchen and restaurant.Preferred Education and Experience:High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics such as food safety, preferred.Prior food preparation experience preferred.Food Handler or Manager certifiedPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.Exposure to variable temperatures such as cold present in a refrigerated environment.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.Deadline to apply: 2/28/24Benefits offered for Full-Time Teammates:Employer offered ($0 cost to teammate):Long-Term Disability, EAP, & Life InsuranceVoluntary:Medical,Vision, Dental, Life, Accident, & Critical Illness InsurancePlease apply online with Pinemelon.com at: https://pinemelon.rippling-ats.com/job/685102/part-full-time-produce-associate?s=cl
