Location: Onsite 5 days per week in Denver, CO (Flexible Work Options)

Pay Range: $50,000-55,000 (Actual pay within this range will depend on experience)

Considering local applicants only or those relocating to Denver.We are partnered with an organization in the Denver area seeking an Instructional Technologist to join their growing team. You will collaborate with Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) & Course Content teams to support course development for all formats (online, blended or web enhanced). You will plan, coordinate, & manage activities to help to achieve departmental goals of distance teaching effectiveness & development efficiency. A high degree of workflow management is required to accommodate deadlines & academic schedules throughout project duration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploying & supporting courses into Learning Management System (LMS) & technical troubleshooting in courses (50%)
  • Worth with ID&T team members to design, develop & implement learning objects (30%)
  • Developing custom programming & scripting as part of the development, implementation & maintenance of learning objects & services for online delivery (10%)
  • Evaluating & assessing the effective use of instructional technologies, identifying opportunities to improve student engagement & inclusion through course development. (5%)
  • Assists with delivering training for faculty & staff on various technologies (5%)

Key Qualifications:
  • MUST HAVE: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Web Design, or related programming for instruction in higher education; Will consider Associate's Degree plus demonstrated work experience in Instructional Technology
  • 3+ years of experience in design, development, & production of interactive web objects
  • Experience with information architecture & file management in a Learning Management System (LMS), Content Management System (CMS), or complex website
  • Understanding of user-centered design & web accessibility
  • Experience with web page editors to develop HTML, CSS, & JavaScript code
  • Ability to analyze, scope & manage development projects
  • Multimedia experience with creation of audio & video files, interactive learning objects, & management & storage of content
  • Ability to apply computer-mediated communication technologies to meet academic & information delivery goals
  • Understanding of online & adult learning principles

Preferred (Not Required)
  • Advanced programming skills
  • Familiarity with data analytics platforms such as Domo or Power BI
  • Experience working in a higher education academic setting
  • Ability to create web-based animation, graphical acquisition & production, & desktop video editing
  • Ability to work with web-connected databases

Pay Range: $50,000-55,000 (Actual pay within this range will depend on experience)
