Job description

Entry-level Spanish-speaking immigration paralegal opening for beginning paralegal with great typing skills and the ability to do legal dictations. This is a brand-new law firm, and the schedule is flexible for 25- 30 hours a week, more hours are available if needed. The Duties include typing up lawyers' dictations, learning how to draft pleadings, filling out immigration forms, meeting with clients, some jail visits, some court visits, light filing, and light copying. The position may start at $20 per hour to begin with accessible raises according to the value of the firm. Great place to work, some limits on cellphone text messaging, and some Saturdays are required at times. The schedule can be fashioned by paralegals to accommodate, kids, school, and other activities. This is an in-office position and no at-home work is available. Must be a people pleaser and the law firm will seek to accommodate whatever needs goals and challenges you want. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized

Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders

Conduct legal research

Fill out immigration petitions and forms

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate recommended but not required

Spanish speaking

Good typing skills
