Diesel Truck Mechanic

Preferred Cartage Service is currently looking for a Diesel Truck Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform diesel truck repairs and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.) Inspect trucks

2.) Perform services or repairs in a timely manner.

3.) Use safe working practices and follow all company safety requirements.

4.) Communicate effectively with supervisor on a regular basis.

5.) Ability to respond to on-call requests made after normal business hours.

6.) Ability to work outside in the elements for the duration of the shift.

Qualifications:

1.) Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record.

2.) Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

3.) Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.

4.) Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform repairs.

5.) Excellent organization skills.

6.) Computer experience with diesel software a plus

Compensation/Benefits:

1.) Pay: $75k-$100k Per Year DOE
