Are you looking for a non-toxic work environment and a great opportunity? We have a beautiful office in Centennial (University Blvd/C470) and provide personalized/ethical care for each patient. Not corporate, one dentist practice. Our doctor has over 24 years of experience and provides general dentistry as well as many surgical/sedation procedures. We have a very competent and friendly team and are looking for that special person who will complete our team. Our employees are happy and long term (our other assistant has been with us for 12 years).

Description

Full time position (36-38 hours/week)

Monday - Thursday

Approximate schedule:

Monday/Tuesday from 8-6

Wednesday/Thursday from 7-5

Responsibilities

Provide patients with a 5-Star Experience through excellent service

Establish good rapport with people to help them feel comfortable and build trust

Work as a team player and be willing to help others

Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry (Crowns, veneers, fillings, root canals, implants, extractions, bone/gum grafting, etc.)

Set up operatories with instruments, equipment, and materials for each procedure

Take radiographs, alginate impressions, pour models, make temporary crowns, and bleaching trays

Educate the patient on procedures and post-operative care instructions

Sterilization of the rooms and instruments according to regulations

Assist in entering treatment plans and maintaining accurate patient records in the computer chart

Requirements

Dentrix experience is helpful but not required

Be positive, willing, and teachable :)

Skills

Proven experience as dental assistant

Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

Understanding of health & safety regulations

Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus

Good computer skills

Excellent communication and people skills

Attention to detail

Well-organized and reliable

High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred

Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
