Custodian/Greeter

Job Description:

The Custodian/Janitorial/Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining the clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas, such as, Sanctuary, common areas, offices, and other locations within the church. The individual will perform janitorial and custodial duties adhering to approved procedures. As a representative of First Church of Boulder, this individual is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures our standards.

Compensation:

Compensation for this role is $20/hour.

Job Responsibilities:

● Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.

● A positive attitude.

● A flexible schedule: ability to workdays and weekends.

● Basic knowledge of the common tools, equipment, and materials used in cleaning and maintenance activities.

● Basic knowledge of methods used in the cleaning of buildings.

● Ability to operate general hand tools and cleaning equipment

● Ability to maintain cleaning equipment and machinery.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuums, and other cleaning tools. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,

depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Physical Demands:

The position requires repetitive movement, and the ability to kneel, crouch, reach, and grasp.

Work Schedule:

Part-time position. This is a weekend only position, more specifically, it's a Sunday working position, six to eight hours shift on Sunday. There is the possibility of picking extra shifts during the week.
