Ticket Booth Representative

Join our team at San Diego Whale Watch as a Ticket Booth Representative, where you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers seeking unforgettable whale watching experiences. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth ticketing operations and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Ticket Sales:

-Efficiently and accurately sell tickets for whale watching tours.

-Provide information about tour options, schedules, and pricing.

-Process payments and issue receipts.

Customer Interaction:

-Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.

-Assist customers in choosing the best tour package based on their preferences and needs.

-Answer inquiries regarding whale species, tour details, and any other relevant information.

Reservation Management:

-Manage reservations and ensure accurate recording of customer information.

-Coordinate with other departments to accommodate special requests and group bookings.

-Cash Handling:

-Handle cash transactions responsibly and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.

-Follow established procedures for handling refunds or discrepancies.

Promotional Upselling:

-Inform customers about additional services, such as souvenir packages or future promotions.

-Actively promote loyalty programs and encourage customers to provide feedback.

Customer Assistance:

-Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

-Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive overall customer experience.

Knowledge Update:

-Stay informed about local marine life, environmental concerns, and any changes in tour offerings.

-Attend training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Requirements:

-Previous customer service experience, preferably in a tourism-related industry.

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

-Basic computer skills for processing transactions and managing reservations.

-Enthusiasm for marine life and a genuine interest in promoting whale watching experiences.

-Possess problem solving skills
