Job Description:
- This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring system level design and project support of a variety of antenna products.
- Reviews project specifications, generates sub-system requirements, assists in creating component specifications, collects and coordinates engineering department inputs for reviews, and monitors progress of system design.
- Performs system-level analyses, determines necessary trade studies, defines, and allocates the functional requirements to the subsystem engineering staff.
- Responsible for defining the user interface and control requirements, as well as defining the subassembly interfaces.
- Assists in determining the needs for hardware and software development and reuse.
- Monitors project requirements verification and cross references to test documentation.
- Assists with the development of test plans and procedures.
- With assistance from the various engineering disciplines, is responsible for preparing technical presentations for both internal reviews and customer reviews.
- Serves as the central technical interface with the customer.
- Provides technical support to the Business Development department during proposal and costing activities.
- Acts as lead project engineer, supports program management as lead technical advisor.
- Interprets and analyzes customer documents and needs, defines the system-level architecture, and allocates subsystem requirements.
- Generates test plans and procedures and is responsible for managing the technical scope to ensure that schedule and budget goals are met.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and scheduling of engineering activities throughout multiple projects.
- Oversees creation of product manuals and data sheets.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Must have experience in the design and analysis of RF and microwave systems, ground-based satellite communication systems, electromechanical systems, and servo theory.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Must be self-motivated, and work well in teams as well as independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, STK and AutoCAD LT is required.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Experience in real-time system programming and algorithm development is desired.
