Under the direction of the Communications Director, the Senior Communications Specialist will research, draft, and deliver well-crafted and on-brand content for a wide range of products, projects, and initiatives across multiple business divisions, utilizing various digital and traditional company platforms. The Sr. Communications Specialist partners with businesses to create communications strategies and serves as a key consultant on both day-to-day communications and high impact initiatives, with a particular focus on synthesizing complex messaging into compelling, easy-to-read content. Additionally, the Sr. Communications Specialist will be responsible for maintaining communications analytics designed to provide clear visibility into communications activity and measure its impact on both our clients and businesses. This position will be compensated as a Corp-to-Corp, 1099 or W-2 Contractor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partner with associates, Business Unit leaders, Technology, Legal, etc. to design and execute internal and external communications programs for BU-wide distribution/use across all levels of the organization.
  • Leverage multiple mediums to deliver informative and engaging communications across an organization.
  • Guide internal partners on optimal communication content and channels for different types of messages.
  • Collaborate with other Business Units to ensure a consistent message when necessary and to understand emerging technologies and/or best practices.
  • Work with User Champions and business leaders to develop content for product releases, business incidents, security incidents, and any other communication needs across projects, processes, and technology changes.
  • Manage a calendar of communication activities and lead the planning process for the senior leadership team.
  • Assist Project Management Organization to communicate new processes, systems, and tools and assist with change management in that regard.
  • Act as an editor for writers and/or partners and as a consultant, when necessary, to programs developed by other partners in the business.
  • Manage the administrative and analytical aspects of both internal and external communications programs, including archiving, tracking, and analyzing the effectiveness and reach of communications.
  • When necessary, work with Marketing to develop graphics to support internal communications.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related discipline that benefits the position or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment as part of a high-profile team
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Maintain the customer's perspective as a driving force behind all content creation and strategic development and activities
  • Respond positively to change, embracing and using new practices or methods to accomplish goals and solve problems
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Ideally located within commutable distance of one of our main offices: San Dimas, CA; Costa Mesa, CA; Maitland, FL; Augusta, GA
  • MBA or advanced degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related discipline that benefits the position
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of internal and external contacts verbally and in writing
  • Excellent collaboration, organizational, time management, customer service, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment, focused on achieving results
