The Opportunity…
Teach the IBT 200 curriculum to learners in the classroom, lab and in the field
IBT 200 Lead Instructors require strong background in residential solar installation
A demonstrated command of the classroom, subject matter expertise across all IBT 200 curriculum areas
Ability to relate the knowledge and skills covered in IBT 200 to the requirements of working as a Junior Solar Installer
Reports to the CV Senior Manager or CV Director
Ability to speak and present to a group for extended periods of time
Skills to teach basic residential installation techniques in class, lab and customer installation settings
What you need to bring to this role
A minimum of 3 years experience in solar installation
Successful completion of the IBT 200 training with GRID Alternatives or be able to pass capstone exam
Completion of GRID Alternatives’ train the trainer program or equivalent training
1 or more years teaching individuals with diverse backgrounds in developing a variety of personal and professional skills
OSHA-10
CPR
First Aid
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record as determined by our insurance carrier

Where you will sit and the places you may go…
This position is on-site and may rarely require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band ($51k-$65k annually), plus the benefits below.
