Newly Created Position! The Shelter Volunteer Coordinator plays a crucial role in training & retaining volunteers to support the day-to-day operations of the shelter. This individual will be responsible for creating a positive and rewarding volunteer experience while ensuring the needs of the shelter and its animals are met. Manages and maintains all SPCA Shelter volunteers including group volunteers, junior volunteers and community service volunteers. The Shelter Volunteer Coordinator will provide guidance, support, resources and tools to Shelter staff working alongside volunteers. This career is fast-paced and dynamic with a strong sense of community and purpose. The ideal candidate has previous people management experience and strong technology skills. The work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday, 8am-5pm. Starting rate for this unique position is $23.00 – $26.00/hour DOE
