Job DetailsTHE ROLE:

• Working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where you will always be learning
• Building the foundations of our data infrastructure as one of the first data engineers
• Delighting data consumers by ensuring they have the data they need to inform decisions
• Creating and maintaining data pipelines and foundational datasets to support analytics, machine learning, experimentation, and product/business needs
• Developing audits for data quality at scale, implementing alerting and anomaly detection
• Contributing to shared data engineering tooling and standards to improve the productivity and quality of output for data engineers across the company
• Actively collaborating with other leaders to source and recruit the best talent to the team!

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• 5+ years of experience building data pipelines in production with deep knowledge of performant scalable patterns and designing, developing and maintaining robust data models from structured and unstructured sources
• Proven effectiveness in working across team boundaries to establish overarching data architecture that powers a variety of use cases, including analytics, machine learning, and experimentation
• Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
• History of building meaningful solutions in a cloud computing environment like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.

BONUS POINTS:

• BS / MS / Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
• Passion for the restaurant industry or restaurant technology
• Familiarity with or desire to learn our tech stack which includes, but is not limited to Java, AWS, Kafka, MySQL, Cassandra, Redis, Jenkins, etc.
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Looker and Tableau
• Experience building products from 0 to 1 in an unstructured environment
