Retail Wine Store Associate

A new wine store opening later this year on the westside of Los Angeles is looking for employees to work in the store and help manage the shop. It is a small store with an emphasis on artisan producers, organic/biodynamic and natural wines.

Responsibilities:

-Assist customers with product selection in store

-Assist in wine buying, tasting and selections

-Stock products as received, keep store organized, clean and presentable

-Run in-store tastings

-Package phone and online orders

-Manage store inventory in POS and web software

-Contribute to social media and online marketing content

-Open and close the store, key holder

Qualifications:

-At least 2 years experience working in wine retail, wholesale wine sales, or in restaurants as server or wine director

-Strong knowledge and passion for wine, spirits, food as well as producers and trends

-Customer service oriented and reliable with a sales mindset

-Writing/content/social experience helpful

-College degree, drivers license and reliable transportation

Compensation starting at $20-25 per hour commensurate with experience, with an opportunity to grow and take on significant management role in the store based on demonstrated performance.
