Currently, we are in search of a motivated Prep Cook to join our team and contribute to the continued success of Tierra Sur.

What You’ll Do:

· Follow standardized recipes to meticulously prepare food.

· Complete tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding vegetables and fruits.

· Accurately weigh and measure specified ingredients.

· Store food items appropriately, adhering to wrapping, dating, and labeling procedures.

· Ensure a tidy work area by maintaining cleanliness of equipment and utensils.

· Adhere to all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety regulations.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

· Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.

· 1-3 years of experience in a high volume/full-service restaurant or food preparation.

· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.

· Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment.

· Proficiency in following recipes and directions, with a strong emphasis on safety.

· Capability to operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, grills, fryers, and other utensils safely and properly.

· Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations, especially during busy periods.

· Flexibility to easily shift priorities as needed.

Compensation:

Salary range between $20.00 - $22.00 hourly.
