Part-Time Art Teacher

FunArt Studio is a well established, independent art studio located in Glendale, CA. We teach the fundamentals of art and various media starting with children at the age of 5. We are looking for an art teacher to join our growing team to bring the joy of art to the next generation!

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Art Degree (or related field)

OR

- A strong art portfolio

- An understanding of art fundamentals

- Ability to work in many types of media especially acrylic paint, watercolor, color pencil, and pastels.

- Ability and willingness to work with children

- Open availability in the evenings (generally 3pm to 730pm)

- Willing to work in-person as part of a team

- Love for art, teaching, and children

- Strong time management

- Attention to detail

- Self-starter

- Dependable

- Clean and Organized

BONUS

- Being local to Glendale/Burbank

DUTIES:

- Teach the fundamentals of drawing, color, and various media to students age 5+

- Create lesson plans based on the age and skill level of a group of students

- Keep the studio and supplies clean and orderly

This is a part-time position (More like a supplementary job) with starting hours of about 15 hours a week. Required hours are in late afternoon to evening so a full-time job can be kept as a primary job.
