Eastridge is looking for an experienced Foming Operator. The company specializes in producing components, subassemblies, assemblies, and repair and overhaul services for the world's leading manufacturers of aircraft, aerostructures, aero equipment, and other defense platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Form sheet, plate, extrusion, and machine parts of ferrous and non-ferrous metals to engineering requirements.

Set up and operate forming machines, including arbor press, hydraulic press, stretch press, and shrinker/stretcher.

Determine, select, and set pressures by trial-and-error method, recording data for future set-ups.

Utilize air hammer or mallets to form metal if wrinkles are present.

Fabricate and utilize custom forming tools to make minor adjustments to parts.

Check parts visually against specified inspection media, such as surface table, contour template, or mylar.

Make adjustments to press when necessary to properly form the part.

Work with ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys in the form of extrusions, machined parts, sheet, and plate stock.

Utilize hand tools, mallets, air hammers, check fixtures, calipers, micrometers, scales, and tape measures.

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or a GED equivalent.

Minimum of two years of experience in forming.

Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications.

Preferred completion of welding certificate.

Preferred experience in the aerospace industry.
