SUMMARY: Cleaning Technicians play the most crucial role in our company by ensuring that our clients' spaces are efficiently cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. Your attention to detail, dedication to eco-friendly practices, and commitment to customer satisfaction will contribute to creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for clients. Under the general direction of the Supervisor, the Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing client locations according to the specifications on the Scope of Work of each contract. Cleaning tasks include but are not limited to; cleaning entryways, offices and public areas, trash removal, dusting, cleaning floor surfaces, cleaning and restocking supplies in restrooms, break rooms and coffee centers.

EXPERIENCE | EDUCATION:

Experience as a cleaning technician for commercial cleaning is required. (Commercial Cleaning includes offices, professional buildings, schools, and warehouses)

Education requirement: High School diploma or equivalent is recommended but not required.

Knowledge in the use of floor buffers, burnishers, pressure washers, and window cleaning is recommended and important.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must demonstrate a genuine appreciation for the significance of cleaning and the pursuit of excellence in their work, beyond just monetary gain.

Must be able to work evenings and overnights between 5pm and 1am.

Proficiency in speaking, writing, and understanding English. English/Spanish bilingual recommended.

The position may require the employee to travel to more than one client location each shift.

Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.

Must be a people person, energetic and with a positive attitude.

Must have a sense of responsibility and work with a sense or urgency.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS | WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 lbs. as necessary.

Physical activities include pulling, pushing, lifting, reaching, bending and repetitive movements.

Demonstrate skill and proficiency with cleaning.

Use of cleaning products, which require the use of protective gloves and eyewear.

Safety is of the utmost importance. Cleaning Technicians must work in a way that complies with all safety regulations required by MOPZILLA Cleaning Solutions, safety product handling labels and OSHA.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean and maintain the janitor/storage closet per site in an organized and safe manner.

Maintain all equipment and supplies so they are clean and in a safe and operable condition.

Ensure proper labeling on all cleaning containers and proper dilution ratios of cleaning products.

Utilize eco-friendly cleaning products and techniques to promote sustainability and minimize environmental impact

Notify the Supervisor when cleaning supplies are required.

Provide timely/accurate customer service support.

Sweep entryway inside and out, dust and remove cobwebs, remove fingerprints and soil from surfaces, vacuum, mop floors, etc.

Clean all public areas including lobby, reception area, elevators and stairwells.

Straighten furniture – push chairs into desks and conference room tables, straighten chairs and magazines in lobbies.

Empty all trash cans, replace liners and clean receptacles as needed and dust horizontal and vertical surfaces. Clean table & counter tops, sinks, microwaves and refrigerators in break rooms.

Clean counter tops, sinks and drinking fountains in coffee center areas.

Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, sweep, vacuum, and mop all floor surfaces.

Clean up spills on floors and carpets as necessary (except blood spills – only trained personnel are required to clean blood spills).

Greet the people you meet at contract sites in a polite, respectful and helpful manner to ensure positive relationships. Route messages or requests to the Supervisor if necessary.

Respect clients’ privacy by maintaining confidentiality and professionalism on work sites.

Adapt to changing schedules and environments, demonstrating flexibility to accommodate client needs and project variations.

Provide regular feedback to supervisors regarding completed tasks, challenges faced, and suggestions for process improvements.

Perform other duties as requested or required by the Supervisor.
