Full Stack Software Engineer (Python)

A leading global investment firm is currently seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team in San Francisco, CA.Responsibilities Contribute to the core engineering design of application, including backend, middle-layer, and interface with the frontend components Design, build and maintain Python micro-services in on-prem or AWS platform Build data APIs and data delivery services that support critical operational and analytical applications for internal users Build testing, monitoring, and automation tools to improve development productivity and application stability Perform peer reviews of teammate's code, paying attention to performance and consistency, while also adhering to the best pythonic ways of writing code Qualifications Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field 5 to 7 years of experience writing production backend code in Python with the backend of an MVC framework (in Django or Flask), with a strong understanding of frameworks Experience working across the entire stack Experience writing tests for legacy Django code Experience optimizing and collecting metrics surrounding inefficient code Agile process experience, ability to work in small teams; prior startup experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excited about working in a small, fast-paced, early-stage startup Working knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, HTML, JavaScript) Working knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and other data storage solutions.
