Forklift Operator

Job opening at a granite & marble slab yard on Miramar Road.

Forklift operator / general services.

$20/hour starting salary.

Candidate MUST be a "Certified Forklift Operator". If certification is expired, we can pay for renewal.

9:00am to 4:00pm weekdays.

10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturdays

Closed Sundays.

Specific duties will include:

Unloading bundles of slabs from sea containers.

Moving slabs around yard and for customer viewing.

Loading and unloading trucks with slabs.

Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.

Maintain a clean & safe environment.

Physical demands and abilities.

Regularly sitting on a powered industrial forklift truck.

Frequently lift up to 40 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.

Having a good sense of balance.

Having good eye-hand-foot coordination.

Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.

Ability to handle a chainsaw and other power tools.

Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions, depending upon season / weather.
