job summary:

  • Manages and analyzes monetary resources and affairs within an organization.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients.
  • May also be responsible for conducting technical accounting research as needed. Prepares and maintains supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Updates and collects business unit reporting packages, helps prepare ad hoc financial reporting as necessary.
  • Experience Level: BA in Finance or Accounting required.

  • Specific Systems Knowledge Preferred: Microsoft dynamics 365, SharePoint
  • Member level insurance membership account reconciliation
  • ensuring coverage and billing are aligned, reviewing billing accuracy, adjusting where necessary
  • Reconciliation of data between our systems and the exchanges
  • Validation and approval of refunds
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment and manage workload effectively
  • understanding of debits and credits, and reversals concepts
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organization and prioritization skills
  • experience with premium billing specifically ideally
  • Experience with reading 834 files preferred,
  • health insurance industry experience preferred
  • excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience as a remote worker
  • Good team player
  • Fluent in Excel
  • Quick learner, ability to pick up systems quickly
  • Good communication skills with ability to write status updates and summaries in clear English
  • good judgement, able to think independently and apply knowledge to other situations,
