Job Description

The Finance Associate will play a key role in the execution of a variety of accounting tasks for the company. The Finance Associate will process checks and payments for the company, in addition to analyzing costs and statistical information to generate financial reports. They are responsible for aiding in budget construction and projections, as well as presenting managers with formulations of financial proposals.

Responsibilities

Accounts payable/accounts receivable

Collect and analyze data to advise financial decisions

Ensures proper standards are being utilized

Identifies new financial opportunities

Work closely with Accountant

Customer and Vendor relations

File organization

Formulate budget proposals

Specific Competencies/Skills Desired

Strong organizational skills

Financial software background (SAP, Oracle, Peachtree preferred)

Experience with processing sophisticated financial reports

Inspection of account transactions

Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Professional Characteristics

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field of study

2 or more years of work experience in related field

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English

Physical Abilities

Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds

Ability to sit and stand for a long duration of time

Ability to stand, stoop and bend periodically

Ability to perform routine, repetitive-motioned activities
