The world’s leading spoken word audio service is seeking a qualified candidate to support the head of TV and Film in their department.
The is a HYBRID role and you must be local to LA.
This is a 9 month contract job.
Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Pay BOE $54-$70 per hour
About this role:
Listen to and access pod casts and audio books for adaptation potential. You will be a part of the selection process for curation and packaging of audio titles into film or TV projects.
This position will create writer and director lists, update internal status reports as well as TV and film mandates. Help package audio projects with writers, directors and actors. You will have an opportunity to utilize your contacts and relationships while learning new skills.
Job responsibilities:
Curate and organize talent lists.
Read audio scripts, listen to rough as well as final audio to access adaptation potential.
Support the Head of TV and Film with your organizational skills.
Track projects with adaptation potential globally.
Track Global mandates.
Create decks for pitching to outside studios and networks.
What we are looking for in the ideal candidate:
Ready to learn about packaging IP for the most effective sales in the entertainment industry.
Organized and good at creating tracking grids, keeping track of the status of audio as well as film and TV projects.
While there are specific tasks involved, there is also the opportunity to gain insight into the workflow.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree required
3+ Years of Film and/or TV Industry experience
Knowledge of agents, managers and industry professionals
Ability to create and organize lists, grids and mandates.
Desire to work in the Audio Space
Ability to create visual decks for pitching projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Have worked at an agency or management company.
Experienced in both film and TV.
Have talent and buyer relationships.
Assisted a producer or executive.
