Fiber Optic Technician

We are looking for a talented Fiber Splicer Technician who specializes in Corning slicing technology. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cables using state-of-the-art Corning splicing equipment. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fiber optic network.

Responsibilities:

Perform fiber optic splicing and termination using Corning slicing equipment.

Conduct fiber optic cable testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project completion.

Maintain accurate records of splicing and testing activities.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all splicing activities.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fiber optic technology.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Fiber Splicer Technician with a focus on Corning slicing equipment.

In-depth knowledge of fiber optic splicing techniques and best practices.

Familiarity with Corning slicing tools and equipment.

Ability to interpret and understand fiber optic design drawings and documentation.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification in fiber optic splicing is preferred.

Prior experience with Corning slicing equipment is a must.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
