Job Description: We are an 8(a) seeking an Experienced Estimator with expertise in Job Order Contracts (JOC) or Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), in managing/estimating construction projects on DOD installations across Southern California. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating multiple projects that fulfill DOD task orders/contracts. This role demands a deep understanding of government procurement processes/codes, project management experience, and an overall understanding of industry construction/safety practices.
Responsibilities:
Experience in Job Order Contracts (JOC) or Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)
Review Scope of Work, Site Visits and Generate RFI’s.
Produce Estimates with use of RSMeans Data Online, produce Excel based line-item proposal and submitting proposals.
Estimating/Material takeoff.
After award requirements: Administration Submittals, Schedule of Prices, Construction Schedule(projects) and Product Submittal.
Design Build/Design Bid Build experience is a plus.
Understanding of Building Standards/Government/Safety Codes: ADA/ABA, NEC, NFPA, UFC, UFGS, NSPC, OSHA, EM-385 1-1, and Fall Protection.
Must be computer literate with advanced skills and must be able to generate and response to emails professionally, via desktop, mobile phone or laptop.
Must be able to read/review drawings and specifications.
Requirements:
Preferred degrees in Engineering/Project Management.
Verifiable experience as a Project Manager/Estimator, particularly with a focus on DOD contracts and construction projects.
Experience in Job Order Contracts (JOC) or Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ).
In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes and compliance standards.
Strong leadership and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Experience with a variety of software tools, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, RSMeans Data Online, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Google Earth Pro.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
Must be willing to travel within Southern California.
