DISYS has a temporary opportunity available for junior to mid-level Desktop Technicians to provide distribution of new computer equipment to client employees as they arrive at a specified pick-up location. Once delivered, the Desktop Technician will update the employee profile in the client's ticketing system (ServiceNow) to associate the asset to the employee profile. The Desktop Technician will retrieve the old equipment and update the same system for the new device status (e.g.: In-Stock, Pending Disposal, etc.). Wrap-up duties may include packaging and mailing remaining equipment to employees who could not pickup tokens in person. This position supports our premier aerospace customer.The Desktop Technician shall:

  • Be responsible for providing maintenance of computing devices, associated peripherals, and approved software, and shall install and maintain hardware and software on those devices and associated peripherals
  • Install all upgrades (memory, hard drives, etc.) and peripheral devices
  • Provide the appropriate office support to coordinate and schedule new equipment installations
  • Monitor and update ServiceNow to ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and make updates to ServiceNow asset records
  • Assist in coordinating, scheduling, and performing relocations and re-installations of equipment
  • Perform periodic physical audits of end user computing devices to compare with ServiceNow's records (deployment location, storage location, and assignee information)

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
  • One to three (1-3) years' experience in an IT support tole, preferably as a Desktop (Desk Side) or Help Desk technician
  • Knowledge in supporting enterprise level PC's
  • Understanding of the McAfee suite of security products (i.e. ENS, DLP, MDE)
  • Understanding of hardware support experience (i.e. swapping hard drive, fan, motherboard)
  • Understanding of troubleshooting HP systems
  • Intermediate understanding in maintaining and troubleshooting VoIP devices (i.e. Cisco Call Manager/Unity)
  • Understanding of installing/supporting/ troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS devices, MS Office, network connectivity issues, etc., and perform system (re)imaging using LANDesk or other imaging technologies
  • Understanding of data transfers using USMT
  • Understanding of inventory management, shipping and receiving, asset management. Includes: warehouse processes for shipping/receiving packages, asset tags, unboxing, return merchandise authorization (RMA) tracking
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with a high focus on customer service
  • Ability to provide solutions to user problems to ensure user satisfaction and productivity
  • Understanding of service delivery framework
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines/SLA's in a fast-paced environment without supervision

This position requires an active Department of Defense security clearance at the SECRET level or ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma required, college coursework in IT studies preferred
  • IAT Level-1 Technical Training Certification (e.g.: CompTIA A+) recommended, IAT Level- 2 (e.g. Security+) preferred

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Submit/Pass a 10-year background check, criminal history, drug screening, and fingerprints
  • Valid driver's license/Real-ID with clean driver's history
  • Self-starter with extremely strong work ethic

  • Demonstrated problem solving and people skills
  • Ability to research, resolve and complete tasks within pre-determined deadlines and schedules
  • Able to process work quickly and accurately - dealing with interruptions, changing timelines and priorities on a regular basis
  • Must embrace technology to promote efficient operations
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word programs

ASSIGNMENT DURATION:
  • This assignment will begin approximately 10 July 2023 and end no later than 31 December 2023

COMPENSATION:
  • DISYS/Signature Consultants reasonably expects to pay $26.50/hour plus benefits to include health, vision, dental insurances, matching 401k, PTO and more.
