The Data Lead Architect will be a highly seasoned data technologist, who has successfully delivered data storage platforms and usability for multiple projects. The candidate will be well versed in data trends. A strong background in databases and data access is required along with the ability to solve complex data anomalies and relationships.The primary responsibilities of this position will be to:
- Provide thought leadership in the areas of advanced data management, including data modeling, data access, data integration, data visualization, text mining, data discovery, statistical methods, data base design and implementation
- Provide insight into the changing database storage and utilization requirements for clients and offer suggestions for solutions
- Be familiar with emerging data uses and technologies
- Develop database design and architecture documentation for clients' management and executive teams
- Provide Data Management and Utilization aspects related to IOT based solutions
- Construct efficient Data Governance structures to include Data Owners, Data Stewards and Data Maintenance definitions, assignments and responsibilities
- Provide practical direction on information and analytics platforms
- 8+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in delivering data solutions
- Extensive experience in data modeling
- Experience in information security, governance, measurement, etc.
- Experience in researching and evaluating new tools and methodologies
- Consulting or customer-facing experience
- A strong understanding of the data industry’s market trends
- Innovative, creative, forward-thinking skills/ability
- Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
- Performs work in compliance with established procedures and/or processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Structured thinker, effective communicator who is comfortable with client interaction, negotiation and consensus building
- Ability to work independently, establishing strategic objectives, project plans and milestone goals
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers
- Related certifications are desirable
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistic, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- Advanced Degree in Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Machine Learning or relevant field of study considered a plus
