Physical Requirements:

Ability to kneel, bend, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, stoop, work with fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions. Ability to perform light work exerting up to 40 pounds, and the ability to constantly move objects. Good physical health. Remain on feet for the duration of their working hours.

Kitchen Supervisor & Cook – Duties & Responsibilities:

The Kitchen Supervisor shall perform all duties as listed below under “kitchen aide” as well as:

 Work a 10-hour workday, with a 2-hour lunch.

 Schedule and supervise all kitchen staff.

 Train, supervise and monitor the quality of work of kitchen staff.

 Inventory, order and stock the kitchen with all needed equipment and supplies per guidelines provided.

 Report daily duties to Administrator.

 Uphold the highest of cleanliness, safety and conduct.

 Cook 3 (three) nutritious meals daily

Kitchen Aide Job Duties:

 Work a 10-hour workday, with a 2-hour lunch. (1:00pm – 3:00pm)

 All meals and tasks must be in compliance with Title 22 Health & Safety Code.

 Check the menu with the Head Cook and discuss the day, and meal preparation.

 Do any food preparation needed for the day.

 Prepare juices, milk, water, coffee, etc. for the meals and snack.

 Clean any machinery after each use with hot soapy water.

 Clean the kitchen sinks and the areas around them (walls, cabinets, pipes, shelves, and garbage cans) as needed

 Sweep floors and shake rugs after noon and dinner meals.

 Wet mop floor after you have swept thoroughly.

 Clean kitchen tabletops with hot soapy water and clean edges.

 Help unload the food delivery and put the products in the proper storage areas. (Always rotate stock)

 Assists in routine sanitation of the kitchen and related equipment, including washing all dishes and cleaning and maintain food preparation and storage areas.

 Observes all safety precautions and complies with all council health and safety rules and procedures.

 Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, State Health Departments, etc.

 Perform all duties assigned by cook.

 Maintain a clean sanitary workstation at all times, including but not limited to: work areas, storage areas, equipment, supplies, cooking and eating utensils, walk in refrigerator.

 Washing dishes after meals, cleans kitchen on a daily schedule, maintains a sanitary environment.

 Fill beverage dispensers

 Follow Injury & Illness Prevention Programs (IIPP). Follow all policies and procedures in the IIPP (Aerosol Transmissible Disease Protocol, Chemical Spill Kit, Blood Borne Pathogens, Hazardous Communication)

 Know where all Safety Data Sheet (SDS) locations are. (Locations: House 2 medication room, Front kitchen, Housekeeping storage)

 Follow SDS protocol

 Capability to lift repeatedly lifting 40lbs for the duration of your shift.

 Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug test.

 Perform any other duties assigned to me by my supervisors, or the Administration staff that may not be on the job description.
