Commercial Driver Lead

Are you an experienced Commercial Driver with a passion for excellence? Jensen Meat Company is seeking a qualified Lead Driver to join our dynamic team. Experience: Minimum 5 years of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) driving experience, Class A.

Schedule: Flexible, including weekends

Responsibilities:

Responsive and Reliable:

Respond promptly to all call-ins and act as a backup driver as needed.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Bilingual: A must.

Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.

Mechanical Skills:

Mechanically inclined with responsibility for the maintenance and inspection of all Jensen Vehicles.

Conduct monthly inspections of tractors and trailers.

Routing and Operations:

Responsible for the daily routing of drivers.

Work closely with the Manager on day-to-day operations and address any concerns.

Regulatory Compliance:

Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.

Communicate with CHP officials to ensure compliance.

Communication:

Regular communication with Jensen Meat Customers during scheduled deliveries.

Collaborate with the customer service team regarding scheduled Jensen events.

Excellent in problem solving.

Maintenance Coordination:

Call maintenance service contractors for any mechanical or refrigeration breakdowns and repairs.

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Positive Attitude and Attendance:

Maintain a positive attitude and excellent attendance.
