We are looking for an experienced, patient, and responsible Art Instructor to join our team! We are a non-profit art center located in Arcadia, CA (www.cw-arts.org). We mainly work with students ages 4 to 8 but have occasional workshops for adults as well. We are currently seeking someone who can teach for our Weekly Art Saturday Classes as well as our Arts Bridge Community Outreach program.
Job Description
Work 1-3 days a week, 6 - 12 hours per week
Class time may vary depending on AM/ PM programs and can be worked out with each individual candidate if hired
Community Outreach Art Program: 8 am - 12 pm; PM Weekly Art Classes: 10am-4pm
Teach elementary school-age students Fine Art
Class sizes vary from 6 students per class (small group setting) to 15 students per class
Work with the Director to deliver a set curriculum as well as generate new lesson plans and projects
Work from March 2024 to May 2025, with a possible extension of the contract
Job Qualifications
MFA, BFA or BA in Art
Organized, reliable, patient, work well in teams, and enjoy working with children
At least two years of experience working with children
Able to work from 3/15/24 to 5/31/2025
Able to generate and execute age or level-appropriate curriculum that explores art media, contexts, and multidisciplinary studies
