Job Description
We seek a Heavy Equipment/Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate would be a team player who can diagnose and repair heavy equipment and over-the-road trucks. You would also need to perform preventative maintenance and annual inspections.
Some of the Duties & Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and annual inspections.
Minor engine & transmissions repairs
Maintain the pickup truck fleet.
Maintain and repair generators, plate tamps, water pumps & other small tools.
Must be able to communicate well with truck drivers.
Must be able to complete service, maintenance, and repair records.
Must be able to work outdoors in summer heat and inclement weather.
Emergency field repairs might be required.
Welding/ fabrication skills are a plus but not required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications Requirements
High school Education or GED
Valid Driver’s License, CDL a plus but not required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and subject to random drug testing.Must stand for extended periods, lift arms above shoulder level, and move heavy objects 50 pounds or more. Work is performed inside a shop and outside in all weather conditions.
