The Kiva Club is the heart of the Trilogy at Vistancia community. The 35,000SF resort club houses:

-Cafe Solaz, the morning cafe where members can grab a coffee or light fare throughout the day

Trilogy at Vistancia is located among the foothills of Peoria, in the Northwest Valley of Phoenix, Arizona. The Kiva Club is a local favorite for dining, weddings & events, and spa services. We are seeking a skilled cook to join our team at the Country Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring that all food is of the highest quality.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Food and Beverage Team the Cook’s III responsibilities include preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.

Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles.

Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.

Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.

Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked.

Carves meats, portions food on serving plates, adds gravies and sauces, and garnishes servings to fill orders.

Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.

Butchers chickens, fish, and shellfish.

Cuts, trims, and bones meat prior to cooking.

Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastry.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or two to three years of related experience.

Minimum of three years cooking experience in commercial kitchen.

Possess a Food Handler’s Card.
