Senior Quality Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Quality Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona (AZ).Responsibilities include: Works almost exclusively on the shop floor daily alongside operators infusing quality thinking and local problem solving for cultural transition Listens to operator feedback on issues that need resolved; Gets it done through site resources Senior Quality Engineer supports learning organization initiative through daily teaching/coaching on the shop floor Supports internal investigation of customer claims and complaints. Acts as a liaison with the customer for Automotive Quality Issues Senior Quality Engineer works closely with the Product Development Team on APQP activities with a proactive zero defects approach Develops SPC tools and works to manage the output response to special cause variationREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Engineering-related degree ASQ-CMQ/OE, CQE, and/or Master Blackbelt certification preferred Certified IATF16949 and/or ISO9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis, APQP, Six Sigma tools and methodologies Proven excellence in RCCA using 8D Experience with Power BI and other data collection and presentation tools Strong knowledge of statistical quality tools (sampling plans, capability analysis, SPC, DoE, etc.) Demonstrated project management experience and success in leading change Strong analytical skills, problem solving, documentation, and organizational skills Must be a team player and can be a self-directed team player Experience with SAP PM or other CMMS Imparts technical knowledge of the process and reactionary logic based on process deviation observation Becomes a subject matter expert in area of coverage (extrusion, fabrication, etc.) Maintenance experience in hydraulics, PLC, and electrical system preferredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
