For over 15 years we have provided problem-solving services to our clients helping them plan, build, design, and restore in order to fit their needs.Due to growth, we are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to the team. This hire will be the lead in performing the planning, designing, and managing of the MEP engineering work within the company. You will also be producing HVAC and Plumbing infrastructure engineering calculations, processes, equipment selections, construction drawings, and more for varied types of architectural, engineering, and construction-based projects. - Provide Mechanical/Plumbing Engineering design, guidance, and documentation on projects within our offices including client liaison, site investigations, contract documentation, and construction administration.
- Develop detailed Mechanical/Plumbing Design drawings and specifications from the schematic stage to complete construction documents utilizing Revit MEP or other modeling software.
- Perform Mechanical/Plumbing Engineering tasks including, but not limited to, production of contract documents, specifications, design narratives, calculations, equipment selections, and submission packaging.
- Manage prioritizing project work proactively and provide program management within a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Take responsibility for time management of assigned jobs. Keep an accurate daily record of the time spent on each assigned job.
- Maintain and update office systems including Revit (BIM) libraries, filing systems, and project management tools.
- Travel for, but not limited to, site visits, professional collaborations, and satellite office visits.
- Work with the Mechanical Director and Mechanical design team to contribute toward the improvement of our methods and processes.
- Experience in Mechanical and Plumbing design in a construction-based (AEC) industry
- PE Licensure is required
- Drafting knowledge and experience a priority
