Host/Support Staff

About Penca: Penca is a locally owned restaurant located in a beautiful restored historic building in the heart of Downtown. Penca has been opened for over 10 years serving Central Mexico cuisine. Penca is open 5 days a week 4pm to 9:30pm. We have an excellent menu of traditional and modern central Mexican cuisine. Penca takes inspiration from Mexico’s unique ingredients, forgotten methods, and esoteric flavors.

Host/Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, escorting customers to the dining or bar area, and assisting the restaurant in additional capacities. Host/Hostess is responsible for ensuring guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until they depart.

Support staff are team members with various tasks to create a seamless and efficient guest visit. Support staff responsibilities include assisting servers, bartenders, and managers throughout their shifts. They are expected to move throughout the restaurant assisting with various tasks such as removing dirty tableware, resetting tables, running food when possible, doing bar dishes, and assisting customers as needed. Support Staff are busser, barback, and food runner.
