JOB SUMMARY: INDUSTRIAL FORKLIFT MECHANIC

Full-service forklift dealership to service, repair, and overhaul all types of powered industrial trucks (gas, electric, or propane). Wage levels depend on experience and motivation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Inspects and tests equipment at prescribed intervals of time or usage or because of breakdown or malfunction.

2. Inspects, tests, and aligns lights and wheels and maintains electrical systems and controls.

3. Disassembles, inspects, and replaces worn or broken parts. Grinds and fits parts as required to maintain or overhaul motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, steering devices, brakes and wheels, lifts, hoists, and hydraulic systems.

4. Test drivers repaired equipment before turning it over to operators.

5. Changes batteries. Charges batteries and maintains battery fluid at prescribed level.

6. Works in a safe manner and adjusts to environments/ surroundings to do so.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have own tools.

2. Must have a driver's license and clean MVR for at least 5 years.

3. Must be able to work outside in the Arizona summer elements.

4. Must be flexible with daily business operations.

5. 3-5 years’ experience with electric, diesel, and LP gas equipment is preferred.

Pay: Depends on Experience, FROM $20
