SCHEDULE:
- PRN (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am)
- Must work at least 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks)
- A shift can be either 4 hours or 12 hours

Background Check:
Royal Oaks is a Drug Free Workplace. Background checks, reference checks, TB testing, and drug screenings are part of the hiring process.
Must be able to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card (Paid for by Royal Oaks). This process will be a criminal background check dating back to the incumbent’s age of 18 years. Royal Oaks will assist you with this process.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Security Supervisor, the position entails protection of personnel and property and preserving order and enforcing regulations for personnel, residents, and visitors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Fully embraces a culture of hospitality
Assess each call situation to determine best course of action. Develop and utilize triage skills to perform rapid treatment prior to arrival of Advanced Life Support (ALS).
Patrols Royal Oaks property, on foot and in vehicle, and responds to all emergency medical needs. Checks buildings and fence lines; responds to intrusions and fire alarms.
Responds to security situations and alarm calls; assesses and resolves problems. Prevents unauthorized access to restricted areas, escorts personnel from building after normal business hours. Notifies company personnel regarding emergency situations.
Enforces correction of infractions through verbal and written warnings. Notifies law enforcement services if assistance is needed.
Prepares clear, concise, and accurate reports that include daily logs and reports of incidents that occur. Maintains comprehensive record keeping of all incidents and investigations.
Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements; identify products, tools, and materials to prevent unauthorized removal.
Perform after-hours non-emergency transportation and light maintenance.
Contacts scheduled on-call Maintenance person for emergency plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
Is committed to keeping confidential and sensitive information.
Is responsible for issuance and maintenance of all communication radios, keys, and golf carts.
Is responsible for monitoring security systems including closed circuit television, intrusion, fire, and duress alarms.
Attends and participates in training, and meetings as required and assists other departments as needed.
May include other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Must be at least 21 years of age and speak, read and write English.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English and make rational decisions in critical situations
Current Arizona Driver’s License (No major moving violations in the past 3 years)
Ability to maintain consistency, diplomacy and tact in difficult or challenging situations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive information.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel, Outlook and Internet.
Organized, able to multi-task, think creatively and adapt to different situations.
Education and Experience:
High school or GED and have successfully completed an approved EMT training course.
Most possess and maintain a valid Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) related certification.
Has a minimum of one year experience as an EMT
Preferably has one year of experience in a law enforcement
Maintain Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Must have proof of CPR and First Aid certification
Obtain Fingerprint clearance card within 20 days of hire, we will assist you
Continuing education must be maintained
Communication Skills:
Has clear speaking voice, is fluent in English; being bilingual would be a plus.
Has ability to speak, work and interface with all levels of co-workers, residents, guests and employees.
Has ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Has excellent telephone and customer service etiquette.
Supervisory Responsibility:
No supervisory responsibilities
