Southwest Homes is looking for an ambitious and hard-working person that is looking for a rewarding and high-growth potential job in a unique construction industry…factory-built homes (“manufactured homes”)! We are offering a Full-Time Construction Apprentice, Monday through Fridays for a total of 40 hours with opportunities for Overtime. Apprentice is not required to have his/her own tools and will also be provided a company truck to utilize for work.

Applicants don’t need any manufactured home construction experience to apply. On-the-job training will be provided, as well as an onboarding training course at no-charge.

Responsibilities:

- Assist experienced installers/foramens in various tasks related to the installation of factory-built ("manufactured homes") including but not limited to: setting & leveling homes, site prep, utility connections, minor concrete work, rough & finish trim work, etc.

- Learn and follow plot plans, blueprints, and instructions to complete assigned tasks.

- Assist in minor home repairs ("punch list" items).

- Assist in the ordering, loading and delivery of job materials & supplies.

- Assist with warranty/service work for our customers.

Skills:

- Practice work ethic and self-starter

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately

- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time

- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

Qualifications:

REQUIRED Bilingual (Fluent in Spanish)

REQUIRED Valid Driver’s License & Insurable

REQUIRED High school diploma or GED equivalency

PREFERRED 1 year of construction experience (higher pay)

PREFERRED Any manufactured home experience (higher pay)

Note: This position is an apprenticeship role, designed for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in the construction industry. Training will be provided by experienced professionals in the field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
