Position Summary :

Northern Arizona Refrigeration is currently seeking an experienced General Field Superintendent with emphasis on Operations Management. The successful candidate will be someone who is responsible for management oversight for all phases of HVAC construction, equipment and material installation ensuring that contract documents are being followed, work is proceeding on schedule, and that we are safety compliant. Other duties include, but are not limited to, managing and developing the Service staff, interviews, hiring, scheduling, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling employees, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure effective production.

Typical Job Duties:

Fostering customer relationships and working collaboratively with all internal and external groups to effectively and efficiently meet clients needs.

Directing the pre-construction planning process, accurately scoping out length and difficulty of tasks and projects, developing schedules, anticipating and adjusting for problems and roadblocks, and collaborating with project managers.

Setting objectives and goals with specific measures for the project management team.

Effectively detailing plans to procure and coordinate materials, equipment, tradesmen, and subcontractors to maximize project profitability.

Overseeing the on-site fabrication shop and making recommendations for major equipment purchases.

Establishing costs for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors and other direct job costs.

Proactively monitoring costs and reacting to variations quickly, monitoring labor reporting system to effectively control productivity, and ensuring financial success of projects.

Overseeing timely billings.

Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans.

Recommending methods and/or improvements based on project needs and resource capabilities.

Ensuring job site employees maintain a safe work environment by conducting safety audits.

Challenging and empowering project managers with developmental experiences to make decisions, constructing compelling development plans to advance their careers, inspiring others to set and achieve challenging goals and maintaining a deep talent bench.

Performing scheduled employee evaluations and working with Human Resources on employee documentation and/or employee reprimands.

Interviewing and hiring of craft workers and trainees.

Requirements :

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

At least 8 year's of related Field Superintendent experience including field supervision, project cost management, and a thorough knowledge of HVAC systems.

Excellent knowledge of HVAC, hydronics, refrigeration, equipment, materials, and installation process. Working knowledge of pre-construction, new construction, design/build, value engineering and other services offered by MB Haynes Corporation.

AZ Journeymans License preferred.

Working knowledge of and ability to apply OSHA safety standards.
