First Alaskans Institute seeks a visionary leader to serve as its next CEO/President. This CEO/President position offers the unique opportunity to lead an organization dedicated to advancing and advocating for Alaska Native people. For a leader who thrives in Indigenous organizations, this role offers the privilege of immersion in a team that supports and utilizes cultural values in every aspect of the work. First Alaskans is a well-known and well-respected organization guided by clear, unwavering values and purpose; and is also at a critical juncture where, as the world experiences changes in areas like technology, climate, economics, and generational shifts, it is imperative to be asking the question: what priorities and approaches will best serve the FAI mission and Alaska Native peoples into the future? FAI’s new executive has the opportunity to lead the organization in advancing systemic and institutional changes to meet the evolving needs of Alaska Native communities and future generations of leaders.
The Organization
First Alaskans Institute is an Alaska Native advocacy nonprofit focused on the protection and advancement of Alaska Native peoples throughout time, reflected in the vision: Progress for the next 10,000+ years. Application Process
The salary range is $150,000-$200,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. First Alaskans Institute provides competitive benefits.
