Getting tired of being in the field all day? This job requires a construction background and will be mostly in the office writing estimates; you will, however, need to drive to job sites to get the information needed and to verify measurements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:
· Sketch properties and photo damages
· Understand contractual terms, conditions, & MOA requirements & building codes
· Estimate each job from start to finish (supplements), kickbacks, etc.
· Coordinating with Construction Manager and collecting Sub Bids
· Breakout Subcontractors Scope of work
· Breaking out customer’s allowances / selection sheet
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required will include:
· Sketching / Mathematical understanding, i.e. SF, LF, etc.
· Proficiency with computers, phones, apps, Microsoft office, and estimating programs.
· Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills
· Must be able to follow each project / insurance guidelines and best practices when estimating.
· Must have estimates completed in a timely manner and within the requirements.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and kickbacks with knowledgeable responses when dealing with insurance adjusters and customers.
· Vehicle, able to transport tools / ladder
· Ability to inspect confined spaces as well as roofs
· No Felonies
Experience:
Project Estimator/Coordinator in the construction industry – at least 3 years preferred
Knowledge of construction basics, practices, and procedures
