Baker / Pastry Cook at Bear Tooth

We're looking for experienced Baker with an industrious work ethic and a desire to work in a kind and respectful atmosphere. The Bear Tooth Theatrepub & Grill is a locally-owned, high-volume, upscale-casual restaurant located in the heart of vibrant Spenard, and have been a cornerstone of the thriving Anchorage Culinary Scene. Inspired by fresh Alaskan seafood and Latin American cuisine, we work with Alaskan farmers and fisheries to source fresh and sustainable produce & seafood, and provide thoughtful, creative dishes for our guests.

The Baker/Pastry Cook will:

Have previous commercial/ heavy production baking experience

Prepare and supervise preparation of all the pastries and baked goods for the Bear Tooth Theaterpub & Grill

Create and fulfill par levels

Have effective time management skills

Know accurate scaling and have an eye for detail

Be a creative contributor to dessert specials

Be responsible for costing recipes (software is available)

Have knowledge of specialized kitchen equipment

Know how to effectively expand/reduce recipes
