Job Title: Administrative Bookkeeping Assistant

Location: Licensed Cannabis Warehouse (Palmer)

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks while assisting with bookkeeping duties. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and quickly. Responsibilities:

- Assist with the day-to-day bookkeeping activities including accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and reconciliations.

- Prepare and process financial documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

- Assist in preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

- Handle general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining office equipment.

Requirements:

- Marijuana Handlers Permit in the state of Alaska.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or related field is a plus.

- Proven experience as an administrative assistant, bookkeeping assistant, or similar role.

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).

- Experience with Metrc is a huge plus.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, displaying a positive and professional attitude.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
