Avanciers is a premier IT Staffing/Consulting organization and we are currently recruiting for Contract role for one of our premier client's in New York, NY for IT Project ManagerRole IT Project Manager With Banking and Investment exp Location: New York, NYJOB SPECIFICATION POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking a seasoned Project/Program Manager to join its PMO team. This candidate will be a key contributor of the PMO organization, interacting with other members of the team, various stakeholders, and serve as a key liaison between all sides of the business, IT and venders. This is a multi-dimensional and highly collaborative role where the ability to effectively communicate is a must. Must have an excellent customer service mindset and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects/programs. In addition to the core project management skillset, the ideal candidate will also be capable for managing business requirements gathering, documentation, execution, have a strong background in workflow and data analysis, and a desire to build automated and optimized procedures and workflows. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead in project charter buildouts / business case development.

Conduct requirements gathering, track project financials and forecasting, and the creation of execution plans leveraging modern PMO toolsets. Possess a deep appreciation and understanding of the agile framework. Have situational awareness on adopting the best delivery methodology depending on the nature of the project. Own the end to end project life cycle from ideation to operational hand-off. Manage scope, success criteria, project financials, RAID log and resources in a dynamic complex matrix environment. Work collaboratively with all project team members and stakeholders including but not limited to technology customers, business partners, infrastructure, operations, info-sec, product owners, application development, data analytics, quality assurance, vendors, legal and compliance. Collectively product own all PMO tooling and assets with the PMO team. QUALIFICATIONS Leadership – you are a servant leader to help enable the entire organization to achieve higher goals and objectives Adaptable - you are able to work effectively and efficiently in a complex and changing environment Effective - you produce outstanding results by being proactive, driven, and committed to achieving positive results A team player - you build relationships easily and are able to motivate and influence others An excellent communicator - you have strong verbal and written skills and are able to express complex technical concepts in business terms Must be proficient in change management, quality management, stakeholder management, risk management identification, and mitigation planning 5+ years of successful project /program experience managing medium to larger enterprise level projects in the financial services industry 3+ years of cross disciplinary agile framework experience in scrum master or product owner role Solid understanding of the financial services landscape, role of IT and ways to drive value leveraging best-in-class project management practices Outstanding communication skills with every level of the organization. Managing project/program communication planning with knowledge management best practices. Proactive with process improvements and an eye for opportunities to maximize IT resource investments SME status in modern PM tooling such as ServiceNow ITBM, Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, SharePoint and other PPM tools. PMP certification highly desired.
