Experiences Required for This Role:
  • As a part of the DAS BITS Architecture & Strategy team, the Senior MuleSoft Developer will work closely with the Connecticut State agencies to understand the business needs, gather requirements, design, implement, support and monitor integrations that will impact State's business and citizen centric services.
  • The position will manage the intake of new requests to support the agency initiatives and provide oversight of the platform's use by partners/vendors/SI's that may be engaged in projects initiated by various State agencies.
What you'll do
  • This is a technical hands-on position whose primary responsibilities will be designing, developing, testing, and supporting mule Soft solutions to integrate with disparate business services.
  • Develop technical workflows using various modelling techniques, including UML.
  • Collaborate with enterprise and infrastructure architects to integrate applications.
  • Ensure that the design and subsequent integration meet security and QA standards once implemented.
  • Analyse application reports to ensure that functionality and performance meets all product and service level requirements.
  • Lead API lifecycle development; responsible for software development and code quality.
  • Work in an agile/scrum environment using JIRA to manage most work and facilitate Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning/Backlog Refinement and Sprint Demonstrations and Retrospectives.
  • Proactively apply internal business service standards to promote reuse across the organization.
  • Coordinate with backend services (specifications, timelines, abilities, service level agreements, etc.) and drive end-to-end service integration.
  • Prototype the data from the back-end systems.
What you'll bring Core qualification
  • 8-11 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience developing and supporting enterprise integrations.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with MuleSoft Any Point Platform.
  • Experience in an integration architect role.
  • Experience developing and deploying RESTful web services.
  • Experience developing integrations using REST with JSON or SOAP with XML.
  • Experience securing APIs using OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, etc.
  • Experience in a high volume or critical production service environment.
  • Experience writing queries and stored procedures for SQL Server.
  • Experience consuming and writing data to SaaS based solutions.
  • Experience in the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Source Control systems such as Bit Bucket, Azure DevOps, Git
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Project Management Skills:
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of security, logging, auditing, policy management, performance monitoring, KPI monitoring for end-to-end process execution
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Explaining complex technical issues to business owners in an easy to understand manner and recommending clearly thought-out solutions
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on ForgeRock.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
  • Ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • User stories and acceptance criteria writing for complex agile deployments
  • Developing solutions by designing system specifications, standards and programming
