What you will be doing as ASP:
  • Leading the development and maintenance of our websites.
  • Build custom plugins and themes for our WordPress sites.
  • Design and build information and e-commerce pages.
  • Collaborate with our product and marketing team to ensure new content and designs align with our brand.
  • Update pages and product information.
  • Investigate and fix bugs and errors that have been identified by our users and the rest of our team.

What will make our ideal candidate: This is a leadership position, so we are looking for years of experience in the industry and leadership. However, we know years don’t always translate to skill, so if you think you have what it takes, apply and impress us.
  • You have experience managing web development teams.
  • You have 3+ years experience with PHP and WordPress.
  • You have 3+ years experience with JS and preferably with TS.
  • You are experienced using package managers like Composer and NPM.
  • You are experienced working on e-commerce websites preferably with WooCommerce.
  • You have experience doing system admin tasks and working on remote systems via shell access and are comfortable with terminal applications and editors like Vim (even if they are not your favorite editor).
  • You are experienced at operating containerization technologies like Docker.
  • You are comfortable deploying PHP applications to Linux.
  • You can build CI/CD pipelines with technologies like Github Actions.
  • You learn and master new technologies quickly.
  • You possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • You are great at listening and understanding input and concerns from stakeholders.
  • You are a team player at heart but also crazy productive when working independently.
  • You don’t settle for “good enough,” and you have a dogged pursuit of excellence.
  • You have an eye for design and can tell if something looks and feels right.
  • Documentation? You eat documentation for breakfast. (No. Don’t do that. It’s not very nutritious.) But you do like to read and write documentation.
  • You develop good, clean, efficient code that solves the problem without being more complex or abstract than needed.
  • You can provide well-crafted constructive feedback especially in code reviews.

Frontend: Bootstrap, jQuery, React, Vue, Preact, TypeScript, SCSS

Dev Ops: Docker, Git, Github Actions

Some things that would be nice to have:
  • You know a bit about technical SEO and some of the common issues that cause pages not to be indexed.
  • You have experience developing custom WordPress Gutenberg blocks.
  • You have created micro applications with a frontend framework like React or Vue.
