The McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center (PAC) is a world class entertainment center located in Wautoma, Wisconsin. The center brings in numerous top acts and performers from all over the nation, as well as great local acts and shows.

THE MISSIONThe McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center, working with the Wautoma Area School District, is committed to promoting opportunities for all people to appreciate the arts by providing a diverse selection of musical and theatrical performances and a venue for business and civic groups to host meetings, seminars, and special events.

-POSITION TITLE: Executive Director

SCOPE OF EMPLOYMENTThe McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center (PAC) Executive Director works under the authority and policies of the PAC Committee, a committee of the Wautoma Area School District Board of Education. This is a part-time salaried position which includes involvement in community, state, and national organizations. Some travel is required.

DEFINITIONThe Executive Director (ED) plans, directs, and coordinates the operations and activities of the McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center. The ED is responsible for supervising and overseeing the business and technical operations of the Performing Arts Center, reporting to the PAC Committee. The position requires working a varied schedule based on the scheduling of PAC sponsored activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Within the policies established by the PAC Committee)

  • Locates, recommends, and schedules artists for PAC sponsored performances and educational programs
  • Oversees the production of PAC sponsored performances and educational outreach programs
  • Negotiates production contracts and riders for PAC sponsored performances
  • Creates promotional materials and participates in marketing and publicity activities
  • Prepares yearly budget recommendations, with input from the Executive Committee
  • Receives and monitors monthly financial reports prepared by an accounting firm
  • Assists with the setup and creation of PAC events in the event and ticketing software system
  • Leads the PAC's fundraising and development efforts including writing grants, soliciting contributions, sponsorships and advertising and special fundraising projects
  • Develops and maintains positive relations with community groups, community businesses, PAC employees, volunteers, and school personnel
  • Maintains communications with patrons, business organizations, and community groups
  • Prepares and implements disaster recovery planning
  • Develops, recommends and implements long-range planning for the Performing Arts Center
  • Assists with box office sales processing as needed

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven leadership working with volunteers, staff and volunteer management Committee
  • Background in arts programming, arts management, marketing, fundraising, financial management, personnel management, and public relations desirable.
  • Experience working with event ticketing software, desktop publishing, word processing, social media, email marketing, and website content creation.
  • Experience developing websites with WordPress a plus
  • Honesty, accuracy, professionalism, teamwork, self-starter, and willingness to undertake essential tasks are a must.
