Stevens Point – UW, Tech support, $23.hr 1099 or $20.5.hr W-2University of Wisconsin – Stevens PointInformation Technology Position Description Name: Position Type: Technical Integration Engineer IIClassification:University StaffFTE Allocation:1.00Working Title:Desktop Support IDivision:Academic AffairsUnit:Information TechnologyAppointment Date: Position Summary The person in this position reports to the Manager of Technical Operations and works with other Technical Operations Team and Information Technology staff members to provide high quality information technology services for the students, faculty, and staff at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point.This position acts as the technical contact for the ERP systems inside Student Affairs. This position supports the management and troubleshooting of campus-wide point-of-sale systems, university ID systems, and food plan systems. This position will have access to sensitive data, and this person must demonstrate they’ve worked in positions of trust before.Other responsibilities include supporting UWSP IT services with daily support and project tasks and assignments. Duties/Responsibilities100% System Administration & Technical Services
- Perform daily systems review to ensure quality performance and availability of services.
- Maintain and troubleshoot systems hardware, software, networking, and security when issues arise.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding issues, including expected impact and resolution times.
- Document existing system configurations and practices to ensure continuity of operations.
- Utilize the Change Management process to explain, present and schedule planned repairs/upgrades to services.
- Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement enhancements to services and security as new technologies become available.
- Collaborate with team members on projects and initiatives.
- Provide support and management of computer related technologies required by University Centers, University Dining, and University Health Services.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to handle problems of an urgent or emergency nature in a timely manner
