Summary:

Looking to join a strong team with a vision to build the future of auto, telematics and usage-based insurance (UBI)? At American Family, we are looking for a leader to join the Telematics, UBI & Product Innovation department in our Auto Center of Excellence, who will be passionate to shape the future of transportation and mobility. Utilizes market research data to identify, analyze, and evaluate markets, products, and services that are potential areas for the company to enter. Develops new and enhances existing insurance products, services and customer innovations for personal auto. Develops and executes strategic plans for entry into new markets and the development and introduction of new and enhanced products and services. Prepares or modifies contract language, develops initial underwriting guidelines and standards and oversees development of predictive analytics including pricing models and other predictive models Accountable for product premium volume growth and profitability Analyzes data and information to recommend actions to improve profitability. Manages relationship of every aspect through interaction with relevant departments.

The Role

We are looking for an innovative and collaborative leader to shape and lead execution of our vision and strategy for Telematics, Usage Based Insurance, and Auto Product Innovation for the American Family Enterprise.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Develops and leads leaders.
  • Oversees research and insights gathering and analysis including customer empathy and competitive intelligence.
  • Develops pricing models and analysis.
  • Develops customer product strategy including customer segmentation, roadmap development and maintenance of product backlog.
  • Collaborates with product management for opportunity identification, enterprise service linkage, vendor management and research.
  • Executes and oversees lean product innovation processes to test-and-validate product needs using minimum viable product and other concepts.
  • Develops and oversees process for launch of products, services and enhancements.
  • Ensures overall compliance and financial viability.
  • Identifies and develops expansion strategy in partnership with appropriate distribution partners to increase exposure of product to appropriate new markets.
