Building Measurement Technician– Full Time w/ Benefits

2-D As-Built Floor Plans continues to expand and we are looking to hire additional building surveyors in the Seattle and Eastside area. We measure existing buildings, residential and commercial, to produce 2D and 3D as-built drawings. We provide equipment and training on process, software and equipment. This position is responsible for collecting data in the field using a laser that inputs information directly into a pen tablet and/or with a Leica 3D laser scanner depending on scope of project. We use a proprietary software based on AutoCAD.

Our main office is in Issaquah, however, technicians commute directly from their residence to project sites and are not required to come to the main office on a regular basis. Though most of our projects are within the greater Seattle area travel can occasionally be required.

- Position requires high attention to detail and good sense of spatial orientation.

- Although you are a part of a team, most of the work is independent. Candidate must be comfortable working solo and communicating with clients on project sites.

- Position is suited for those who like to be physically active, work in varying situations and out of office environment.

- Although not required, candidates with blueprint or map reading experience, land surveying, engineering, architectural or drafting degrees, and construction project management tend to excel in this position.

- Dependable transportation and good driving record are required.

- We require an in person interview.
