Project Manager PMP, Portfolio Management - Richmond, VA 35243

We have an immediate long term contractual opportunity located in Richmond, VA for a position of Project Manager. The successful candidate must have experience managing large scale projects including the development of comprehensive project work plans using Microsoft Project, developing and maintaining project budgets, resource plans, risk plans, communication plans, and program management plans. Hands on with Agile, Waterfall and blended methodologies for software development for obtaining desired results as well as Portfolio Management is required. The applicant must possess solid understanding of project management methodology to identify and communicate issues, risks and dependencies across the entire agency portfolio. Knowledge with variety of complex technical environments and concepts of integration and enterprise architecture as well as with system analysis and development methodologies, project management, cost benefit analysis, complex and diverse programming languages, multiple platforms, and operating systems is required. The suitor will be responsible for the development and oversight of the PMO and program roadmaps. Must be Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI). Must upload copy of their Active PMP cert to be considered. The candidate should have knowledge and experience with the systems development life cycle and various methodologies including AGILE, data modelling and design, and prototyping. Should posess the ability to compile, prepare & deliver executive level presentations. Experience with VITA project management standards, protocols, procedures, and tools is preferred.
